About
A veterinary directory that publishes prices. Why it was needed and how it is built.
Why this exists
More than half of pet owners have at some point put off a vet visit because they did not know what it would cost. Not because they would not pay: because they could not find out.
Almost no other industry gets away with that. This one does, because veterinary prices are published nowhere, and phoning six clinics is work nobody does while their dog is unwell.
VetSearch publishes those prices. That is all it does, and it is what no other veterinary directory does.
How the directory is built
Listings start from public data and are then maintained by the clinic itself, which can claim its own, correct it and publish its prices. Nobody pays to appear, and nobody can pay to rank higher.
The rule for what gets published is short: better empty than false. When we cannot confirm something against a real source, the field stays blank. An invented opening time sends someone driving to a closed clinic with a sick pet in the back seat.
Where we are, and how far along
We are pre-launch. Today the directory covers Orlando and its surroundings, in English and Spanish, and will open city by city as there is data worth publishing.
VetSearch is a project of DocSearch Health Solutions, 8135 North Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, FL 32810.
We answer at info@vetsearch.us, in English or Spanish.
