What VetSearch is, and what it is not

VetSearch is a directory of veterinary clinics with price information. We publish data so you can compare before you call. That is all.

VetSearch does not provide veterinary care, employs no veterinarians and gives no clinical advice. Nothing you read here replaces a veterinarian.

If your pet is in an emergency, leave this page and call an emergency clinic. This site does not handle emergencies and is not monitored in real time.

We are pre-launch. The service may change, be interrupted, or stop being available without notice.

Prices are estimates, not quotes

There are two kinds of price on this site, and they are always told apart on screen:

• Those published by the clinic itself, with the date it last reviewed them. The clinic sets them; we neither negotiate nor guarantee them.
• National averages, calculated from public data. They are not any particular clinic’s price, and the page says so wherever they appear.

No price on this site is an offer, a quote or a commitment by anyone. The real price depends on your pet and on what the vet finds. Confirm it by phone before you go.

Directory listings

We publish clinic listings built from public sources. A listing does not mean that the clinic is our customer, pays us, knows us or has authorised us, nor that we endorse it.

If you are responsible for a clinic and want to correct its listing, claim it, or have it removed, write to info@vetsearch.us. We do it with no conditions and ask nothing in return.

We order results by objective criteria. We do not sell placement: nobody can pay to rank higher.

Your account

To hold an account you must be 18 or older and give truthful information. An account belongs to one person: passwords are not shared, and what happens from your session is your responsibility.

You can close your account at any time by writing to info@vetsearch.us.

We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, claims a listing without authorisation, or publishes false information. When we do, we will tell you why.

If you run a clinic

Claiming a listing means you state that the business has authorised you to speak for it. A person reviews it before approval, and a false claim is withdrawn.

What you publish — contact details, hours, services and prices — is yours to answer for, and you state that it is true and current. You allow us to display it on the site and in material describing it.

You can remove your prices whenever you like: leave both boxes empty and save.

A price you will not honour does more harm than no price at all. If something changes, change it here.

What you may not do

• Copy the directory in bulk or automatically, or resell it.
• Impersonate a person, or a business that is not yours.
• Publish false prices or details, or fake reviews.
• Try to reach other accounts’ data, or push the system into handing it over.
• Use the emails and phone numbers in the directory to send unsolicited advertising.

Ownership

The VetSearch name, the design of the site and the text we write are ours. Each business’s own data belongs to that business. You may quote and link to the site normally; you may not copy it wholesale.

Warranties and liability

The site is provided “as is”. We take care that the data is true — and when we cannot confirm something, we leave it empty rather than invent it — but we do not warrant that everything is correct or current at all times.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the site, nor for what happens between you and a clinic: the care agreement is between the two of you.

Changes, governing law and contact

If we change these terms materially, we will say so on the site and, for account holders, by email. The version and date are at the foot of this page.

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Florida, United States, where the company is incorporated.
